The perfect day to spend outside

At Summer Snow Juice, we love spending time outdoors, including working on our apple farm, Bellevue Orchard. We also think there is no better day to spend outdoors than Eat Outside Day which is coming up on Thursday August 31st 2023.

Eat Outside Day encourages you to taste the sunshine (or moonlight) whilst picnicking with your family. This occasion offers a slice of bliss a bit like a mini staycation, allowing you to recharge and rejuvenate while indulging in good food and drink out with nature.

We have you sorted for undercover dining, apple juice, and more, here at Bellevue Orchard, our working farm. Situated amongst apple trees with ample room for parents and children to enjoy the day.   You can relish time under the sun, or if the weather takes an unexpected turn, we have plenty of seating options available undercover.

We want to share with you our two favourite options on Eat Outside Day:

Alfresco Dining

We know what you’re wondering why now in this cold. But there are still ways to enjoy a fun day out in winter if you're dressed for the cold weather. It’s as simple as taking your dining experience outdoors – just bring your plates to a balcony, porch, or patio. Giving you the feel of picnic while allowing you to relish your meal and enjoy the views, all while staying comfortably warm.

If you’re feeling like having the food and drinks prepared for you, why not head to the perfect location for Eat Outside Day – apple farm?

The café at our apple farm is bustling with life, and it’s the perfect spot for you and your friends to sample the delights from our food trucks – pizzas, gourmet pies and other seasonal favourites. Not to mention, we proudly feature our collection of refreshing Summer Snow Juices all made at our orchard. If you’re bringing along kids – our range of juices is the perfect healthy option, made with 100% Australian fruit.

Bring a blanket (or two)

If you’re organising your own picnic outside, don’t forget to bring picnic blanket to sit on, and perhaps even a blanket to keep you warm! Nothing beats being wrapped up in a cosy blanket on a cold winter’s day. Another great tip is to pack a waterproof layer to lay down first, to stop the chills from rising through the ground and it’ll also prevent the woolly blanket from getting wet or muddy.

Plus, having your own picnic gives you the freedom to pack your own snacks and drinks. Whether it’s soup in a thermos or hot chocolate, stay warm while you’re outside this winter.

Whatever your plans may be, we’d love for you to join us for Eat Outside Day at Bellevue!
